Mission Trip '09

So as I lay in bed last night all I could think about were these kids...I miss them terribly! They brought such joy to my life in the short amount of time I was there...and it really made me feel grateful for such a great house, school, family and friends that God blessed me with.

Preparing myself for my mission trip

I feel as if the lord is giving me all these mission trips (however short they may be) to prepare my heart for what is in store for Kenya, Africa. An I am completely stoked! I have already been on this mission trip once before, and let me tell you every child I met in the Wheatley Courts Housing Projects broke my heart last summer. There were signs of abuse, rape, death, etc. etc. in these kids faces. They would come running every day and rap there arms around us, they didn't even know us...but they knew we were there for them, to love on them and teach them about a creator who would die for them. Because they are worth it! An the smiles on the kids faces at the end of the week...ohh they make my heart leap!! I am stoked for this mission trip I am about to leave for, God has HUGE plans! (:

Well I have tried to do one of these before, but it was on a different site (wayyy to complicated stuff for me). So here I am, brand new blog...and lots of stuff on my mind.

This blog will be called ever thine, ever mine, ever ours, because I love beethoven's love letters and I think its a cute name!
